The Holiday Haven Inn is ready for its next adventure.
Carol and Mercy are preparing the inn for the summer solstice when they get a phone call from none other than Mrs. Claus, telling them some VIP guests will be arriving at the inn. Namely, the representatives of other holidays, including the Easter Bunny and Cupid, who will bring them a much-needed publicity boost.
Unfortunately, their new guests also bring a flood of holiday-themed chaos. With the Easter Bunny demanding to be served fresh cabbage leaves every few hours and Cupid's arrows wreaking havoc among the staff, Carol finds her own potential love life on hold as she does her best to keep everything running.
Can Carol and Mercy figure out who keeps stealing Cupid's arrows and make it to the summer solstice in one piece?

(Spoilers) I was wary of continuing this series through the summer solstice but it never loses its Christmas spirit. The addition of more holiday VIP celebrities was just brilliant and I loved the rivalry between Cupid and The Tooth Fairy. The funniest part was how inexplicably rude and pompous the Easter Bunny was portrayed. Matters only grew more hysterical when poor Mercy falls in artificial love with him. Those were the parts I laughed at the most.
I loved the twist with Spencer being hit by the arrow but that he was already in love with Carol, the arrow merely drew his feelings to the surface and eliminated his shyness. The mystery of who was behind the flying arrows was super fun to follow. I’d suspected the tooth fairy at first but then narrowed my suspicions like Carol to the fairy godmother.
The addition of painting cupid as a victim of his own powers was also very clever. Carol and Mercy having to avoid his gaze with sunglasses was very funny. I wonder if Mrs. Claus knew the unbridled havoc her guests would wreak on poor Carol and Mercy! I look forward to seeing more trying times at their beautiful inn.
I highly recommend this series to anyone who loves the holidays or these authors/narrators. I am going to pick up this series again when it’s Christmas once more 🎄❄️☃️🎁
