Acerca de esta escucha
Since the first book things have progressively and rather rapidly got worse.
That book was about living cheap so you can have a better life, now it seems you have to live cheap just to survive.
Things have changed and not for the better.
The virus that kind of invaded our space and the government's reaction to it has doubled down, so now we have to live cheap just to survive. Before living cheap was a lifestyle choice now it seemed it is more of a necessity just to keep your head above water.
The government's reaction to the virus is a concern, but the government reaction to climate change and how to alleviate it is turning into a greater concern. The virus was new so we can expect some government mishandling of the situation when looking back on what we did.
And at the present moment what we did has not really made any effect on the outcome of the virus.
And most governments around the world, except some in possibly Africa and Asia, are still doing the same thing over and over again.
I think it was Einstein who said words to the effect of 'Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result is a form of madness' and that is what most governments are doing now. The same thing over and over again and we're still getting the same results and we still can't see that.
And the governments are doubling down on what they were doing and they seem to be making it worse. Instead of trying something new they are just rehashing what they've been doing and we're still stuck where we were over a year ago.
Other than wrecking the economy and causing some serious social issues we are still surviving OK. We have enough food to eat and we can still put petrol in the car except it's costing more.
