He's the first person Rapunzel's ever met who isn't completely charmed by her (well, the first person she's met at all, really), and he is infuriating - especially when he hints that Witch isn't telling her the whole truth. Driven by anger at Jack and her own nameless fears, Rapunzel descends to the ground for the first time and finds a world filled with more peril than Witch promised...and more beauty, wonder, and adventure than she could have dreamed.

The retelling of a well known fairy tale was imaginative and clever. After reading this book, you won’t be able to think of Rapunzel the way you always have. Can’t wait to listen to the next book in the series!

An excellent revision of the 'happily ever after' fairy tales. a truly wonderful version of rapunzel read by a narrator who conveys the characters' personalities she reads.

story, I loved the relationships. It's not really romance but it was rich with characters, and the narrator really brought the characters to life.

it's different from other versions of Rapunzel I have seen but not in a bad way. It has fairies, witches and has a lot of world building even in just one book. I enjoyed my time listening to it and enjoyed the characters especially the main ones.

Impressive. It can be difficult to write a story using works that are previously known to readers. One must make it new enough to warrant a reader to choose it, yet familiar enough that the reader doesn't get frustrated by inconsistencies. Morrison achieved this in Grounded. I was pleased at the twists and turns, enough so that I didn't have the story figured out in the first few chapters (which happens a lot). I was also impressed by the way the familiar was woven into the plot. Overall, I really enjoyed listening to the tale and I'm looking forward to starting the next in the series.

I struggled to get in the story , but I ended up loving it. The narrator enhanced the story , I listened to this in 3 days.
