Friends Don’t let Friends Spy Alone is the second book in the John Keller series.
John Keller, a retired cold war spy, has just successfully completed his first mission in nine years, putting to bed concerns about whether he still has what it takes.
After his recent mission, his retired life is boring him to tears, especially during winter when his favorite activities are curtailed. What he needs is a vacation. Somewhere warm with ocean views, pool bars, and good friends. What he doesn’t realize is his vacation will put him on a collision course with an international drug cartel in a fight with the U.S. government.
Can he find a way to save the lives of his family and his fellow Americans? Even if he can, how does he do it without compromising his cover and exposing his family to old enemies?
John’s battle with the drug cartel triggers a chain of events which draws him into efforts to stop a terrorist plot to kill hundreds of thousands of Americans and decimate the U.S. government. Once again, John must risk it all to protect the country and his family.
This mission has the added complication that he is being asked to operate on American soil where he must avoid the authorities, or he might go from the hunter to the hunted.
