Brad is great at meeting other people's expectations. But his own? Not so much. Take the gay thing. Okay, so yeah. It took a morning meeting with a frat brother's hairy, naked ass for him to admit it, but he knows the truth about himself now. Let the gay life commence.

Unfortunately, it's not that easy. He hasn't quite determined how to come out to anyone, even Sebastian, the geeky-hot TA in his history class. Sebastian is everything Brad is not. Intellectual, suave, hairy. Out. And he doesn't seem interested in Brad, even when Brad makes a fool of himself trying to catch his notice.

Score one for foolery: Sebastian does more than notice Brad; he takes him to bed. Brad's been with plenty of girls, but with Sebastian, the sex is something else entirely - hot, mind-blowing, affirming, and a little domineering in a way that drives him wild. But when great sex turns into something more - dare he admit the "L" word? - Brad must face the crushing realization that Sebastian doesn't feel the same. Unless, of course, he does. After all, even grad students can be idiots about matters of the heart.

I am almost done with the audible version and I can't finish it. I tried. I don't feel there's a connection between Brad and Sebastian. I don't feel a connection to either character and don't care what happens to them. This is the first book where I didn't care about either character. There isn't anything in the story that makes me want to keep listening. It's a cute story, but didn't hold my interest.

Another great Audible from the Escape package. I found this book due to looking for narrator. I enjoyed this coming out story for Brad. He and Sebastian had a great love story. I loved Brad’s friends, Kyle had me laughing out loud at times! I look forward to listening to more by the author and narrator.

I’m a big fan of well crafted and interesting characters. If I don’t like the characters in a book, then I’m probably not going to like the book very much. So I was very happy with how much I enjoyed Brad (Frat Boy) and Sebastian (Toppy) as both a couple and individual characters. The book was pretty short and I wanted more from the ending, but I had such a great time enjoying Brad’s self-discovery and watching both men fall in love with each other.

I kept passing this book up but because I love almost everything performed by Nick J Russo I finally tried this book out and I finished it in less than a day. I found Brad endearing and sincere and the chemistry that he and Sebastian have is off the charts! The scene where Seb takes Brad the first time felt amazing...the way Tenino wrote it and the way Russo performed it made me feel as if it was my first time as well....5 stars. I can see myself listening again.

Loved it. Nice story with characters that could easily be the kid next door. Best of all it had a jock as a main character too!

This is just a really enjoyable story with great narration, humor, hot sex, and likable characters. Nick J. Russo gives a great performance and, I thought, totally nailed both Brad, as the unsure coming to terms with his sexuality frat boy, and Sebastian as the older, more experienced, seen it all TA. Also, he makes the sex scenes in this fan-worthy.

I absolutely love Brad and all his awkward “yep, I’m gay” experimentation. Russo perfectly captures the journey he takes with Sebastian from crush, to lovers, to love, to confusion, and back to love.

This was a sweet, funny, fast read with great characters. My only complaint about this story is that I would have liked to have gotten a less rushed ending.

Totally humorous, filled with sexiness and hot lovemaking, with great main and side characters, and terrific narration. Recommended!

I'm just going to get this out of the way- sometimes I do judge a book by its title, and this is one of them. If my cousin hadn't recommended Frat Boy and Toppy to me I probably would have passed it up, based on the title alone. But I'm glad she did because it turned out to be a fun listen.
This is Brad's story of coming out, and as fun as it was, I also found it quite endearing. I liked that there wasn't a lot of drama, and that things with Sebastian didn't drag out.
I laughed out loud multiple times, mostly when Kyle was involved! The scene in particular when Brad came out to him had me cracking up! I was glad he had a friend like him, the scene at the frat meeting was classic.
I really enjoyed Nick Russo's narrating. especially his portrayal of Brad- it was a nice mix of vulnerable, goofy, and adorable. The rest of the characters were nicely done as well, each one having a distinct voices so there was no getting anyone confused.
I'm looking forward to listening to more in this series!

This was ok up to the meeting with Ashley in the coffee shop. Brad was such a wet rag to this point I should not have been surprised, but the way he let her run him over, I gave up.

The narrator was very good though.

The story was mostly the exploration of enjoying sex There were some really beautiful moments between Sebastian and Brad though

Frat Boy and Toppy is book 1 in the Theta Alpha Gamma series written by Anne Tenino. This is probably a perfect example of a sweet book, where there is no angst to be found. The cast of characters is also amusing, so it's an all around fun read. Nick Russo made this book even better. I loved how he portrayed the innocence of the jock and the confidence of the history nerd. The author and narrator both did an amazing job perfecting the contrast and I very much enjoyed listening to the story unfold. The parts with Brad's family were also flat out hilarious and some of my favorite parts. I'm looking forward to listening to the rest of the series.
