Driven to fight for her town, driven to fight for love.

Riley Davies never backs down from a fight. She stands up for herself and those who can't stand up for themselves. And sometimes it takes stepping away from the place and people you love to discover you want to come back. Matt finds out Riley, the woman who had sparked his interest before he left Keeneston, is embroiled in political intrigue, and insists on being the one to protect her. Now Riley and the entire town are in danger due to someone looking to run their own political game, even if it means murder.

Kathleen Brooks has a powerful, distinct writing style that draws you into her stories and makes you feel as though you are living with her characters. This book is captivating from beginning to end; I couldn't put it down until I finished it! There is a blend of romance & suspense with unforgettable characters you can't help but fall in love with. As usual, Eric G. Dove does an amazing job of narrating.

Riley and Matt make an excellent team as they both build each other back up after having gone through some difficult times. As a team they face some extreme political dangers and come out better together. With "retired" spy Cy Davies as her father, you know Riley is ready to face down the enemy.

I listened to this series a little out of order and now kind of kick myself for knowing outcomes of characters before they are introduced. Enter Ania and Deondre who we get to fall in love with alongside our favorite families in Keenston.

Narrator Eric G. Dove is brilliant!

Liking this narrator so much, I ran across this great series that is thrilling with humor. Eric Dove does a great job narrating this series. I am hooked.

Because i just couldn't put it down!! My husband kept giving me funny looks because i was laughing so much. This is a great book and a must read. Although, you really need to read all the previous books to understand some of it. I have every book in this series and I am reading them all for the second time. I Love this series and can't wait for the next book!!! 📚📘📕

Yes and I love every one of them

YES!!! The hospital scene had me laughing so hard I was crying

Another awesome story with the Kingston crew. This political intrigue features Deputy Matt and, Cade and Gemma's, Riley (Farmer & State Rep). There are a few new characters introduced that add to this close knit town.

As usual, this story stands on it's own but is enhanced when read in series.
