This series has it all -- truly exceptionally well written plotting, incredibly addictive characters, fun family vignettes, police procedures, mysteries inside of mysteries, satisfying conclusions, a sprinkling of the most insightful human perspectives, a dash of philosophical adage in an Irish brogue .... and speaking of the narration, five big shiney stars to Donald Corren for the melage of accents, brogue, and New Jersey twangs ... the author and narrator are a perfect match.

Charming, exceptional, character-driven mysteries

A good mystery even with one character who became a heavy handed attempt at satire. Sadly we can not see how the relationship between Flynn and Grover will go. Over All I stalled less with The Flynn Series then the Fletch series

Gregory McDonald tackles America’s current complicated cultural issues. He does so with warmth, humor and intelligence.
Flynn is my new favorite character. I already love him.
I hope this is a new series. I do wish the novel was 10 hours rather than 5.

Mt first exposure to the Flynn series has got me hooked! It’s a refreshingly candid expose of modern morals - even more pertinent today than when it was written almost 20 years ago! There’s lots of humor, realistic characters and they narration performance is superb!

I can’t recall a more unique and clever lead detective and main character. The mysteries here are well put together, seemingly impossible, yet Flynn’s keen observations and confidence assures us he’s in control.

Outstanding narrator!

Flynn is an Irish inspector working for the Boston Police under curious circumstances with dubious credentials. He’s a man with many layers. Classical education, musical, a loving husband and father of five outstanding children.

I really enjoy Gregory McDonald’s work.

I find his books to be very well written and very clever. And I love Flynn and fletch.

I hope that everybody else enjoy them as much as I have!
