Fate Lashed is the sequel to Hero Forged and is the second audiobook in the Ethereal Earth series - an ongoing tale about the nightmares we create, those they create for us, and a few people who refuse to take any of it too seriously.

So a while back I took a chance on this series with my valuable audible credit. This is the second book in the series and it delivers everything I wanted and more. I’m no word smith so I’ll just say this book is fantastic. To those reading this, I truly believe you will enjoy this one more than the first.

Waiting With Bated Breath

Well now I know that the first book in the series wasn’t a fluke. The second book in the series has all the strengths of the first: a fast pace, a playful disdain for narrative cliches, surprises and interesting characters. What is different to the first book is the introduction into the narrative of an extended arc with enough potential for many more books.

Well done Erik. Please hurry and write the next book!

there was simply too much drama. half of the book is about someones feelings. a little emotional content is good. too much is torture.

I'm really loving how this series is turning out. The climax of this one was fantastic.

While this is not necessarily a difficult read it is a fun one, I felt it followed the first book well and the plot has only built since then.
I will gladly listen to the next volume, and am also happy that it doesn’t leave on a cliffhanger. Also for the first series of an author that he narrated himself Josh Erikson has done a great job

Absolutely a favorite new series. The witty banter alone is worth the read. The innate sense of very real danger woven in through swarms of goulies, ghosts and gods ramps the resultant tapestry into Thrillsville territory. Add in the (obviously professional) voice talents of the author bringing his own work into even sharper relief, and you're left with nothing less than a master stroke of epic genius.

Just give the books a shot. You won't be disappointed. The author is very down-to-earth and he knows how to make you empathize with the characters. He tells a really good story

The series gets better and better. The character's get deeper and deeper. The story get more and more addictive. Just a great everything. A must series for anyone who appreciates great series!

Book 1 was not bad despite some serious MC flaws. Most were corrected in book 2 and addressed many of the reasons for the MC throughout book 1. I can understand the author's aim and am now invested to see the MC grow as the story develops.
