I’m not a huge fan of the narrator on the regular versions of this series, the guy who reads him here is better.

Better narrator then the “regular” version

One of the best things about a book you can’t put down is the amazing story and journey that you go upon within your own mind. Sadly, now the story is over as I have binge the entire series. I hope that the author continues to write more. I will have to wait to see.

Sad it’s over

The main performer is great. But most of the other characters are “dramatically” added, with all of their different microphone settings, reverb settings, volume settings, whizbang dialectic differences, etc that it’s impossible sometimes to tell what they’re saying. And then there’s the “background“ whistles and bells and taps, and, gawd, I can't go on. Truly awful

I used to listen to the BBC radio broadcast productions years ago. Graphic Audio’s production is very much like those performances. And Murderbot Diaries is such a phenomenal series that the audio performance is perfect! Just perfect!

Outstanding Performances

Would not purchase the dramatized version again. Very weak and narration poor quality actors. Avoid the dramatized version.

Hated the dramatized version

I should’ve known from the cringy “a movie inside your mind” intro. I couldn’t wait for this to be over.

Cheesy sfx, narration, music. Main character talks like they’re rushing through the story, sounding like a joyful cartoon character.

A character previously described as “older” sounds like they’re 20, and a kid character is the same voice+inflection but with a weird effect put on it.

Tried dramatized, it was a mistake

Curmudgeon Murderbot is best when challenged by his “friends,” so it’s good that Dr. Mensah was back. Still, the narration and story is getting a bit rote.
