Acerca de esta escucha

The Federation is pushing the Hocklyns steadily back, but they still vastly outnumber the humans and their allies by hundreds to one. Fleet Admiral Hedon Streth has to defeat them before they develop newer and more deadly weapons. In a bold move, Hedon comes up with a daring plan to attack the Hocklyn home worlds. If he succeeds, the war will be over. And if he fails then the Federation will face imminent defeat.

The AIs have withdrawn to the center of the galaxy, where they are working on their great project. Once completed, it will send out a hyperwave that will eliminate all organic life in the galaxy. Can anything be done to stop this impending apocalypse?

This is the exciting and epic conclusion to the Slaver Wars series. Over 160,000 copies of the series have been sold.

The war against the Hocklyn and AI continues. The Federation has been doing well against the Hocklyn Empire and with the Alton help against the AI as well, but they are still greatly outnumbered. The Alton unveiled another little secret they have been withholding which will again help the Federation a great deal. Admiral Streth has a plan to defeat the Hocklyn Empire once and for all. The Federation will then be able to turn all their offense against the AI at the heart of the Galaxy. It was this plan that the Federation now executed against the Hocklyn. The AI meanwhile has not been sitting on their mechanical butts. The vast majority of their fleets have been withdrawn to defend their home worlds and The Great Project in the center of the Galaxy. If The Great Project is allowed to succeed all organic life in the Galaxy will be destroyed within fifty years by a huge hyper wave. It must be stopped!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

for the love of God, we know that Admiral Streth would rise from cryo-sleep to save the Federation and we also know that Kevin likes hamburgers and we ALSO know that all of these people miss each other when not together. The constant repetition really ruins the story.

That said, I listened to the whole series and there is obviously another series in the works with how this ended and I will buy that too I guess.

Any additional comments?

Although I enjoyed the series. I think if you removed the phrase

Well written series. Very intriguing and fun. I enjoyed this series thoroughly. I recommend this to true sci-fi lovers.

Very good series

Me. Weil is a good story teller but horrible at developing characters. He picks one or two traits about each character and repeats them endlessly. By the end of the series you will find yourself screaming yes I know Kevin likes cheeseburgers.

Horrible characterization

Well, I’ve just finished listening to the entire Slaver wars saga.
The story is predictable the prose is repetitive ad nauseam.

This writer needs desperately to learn his craft. His plots are good but he doesn't know how to write. Period. No idea of character development, description, etc etc and he either doesn't understand spatial tactics and science or like learning to write he just doesn't care. Most writers get better with time but I've given him 7 books to learn his craft and although he has set up what may be a great follow up series, I refuse to ever buy another of his books. Ever!

Ok story but
