I get down and start to lead the horses forward with me when I hear a man’s voice telling someone that they may as well surrender, the voice says that they have all the time in the world to wait them out. Cap looks up at me like he is asking me a question. I tell him that we will just see how much time they really have. I don’t rightly know why, but for some reason I feel like someone is in trouble and I have always hated bullies.
I go a little further when I hear a woman’s voice telling the other voice to please leave them alone. She says they already have their horses so just leave them alone. The voice laughs and tells her that it wouldn’t be neighborly to leave two attractive women and a little girl so far away from civilization. Then he tells them if they are real nice to them, they may even live to see civilization again. Cap looks at me and I tell him that if I get the chance, that man is going to die today.
