At my age, I still would like to consider myself a beginner gardener. I do not possess any of the great knowledge that is in this book. I have definitely learned several things from listening to this audible book. I greatly appreciate the information.

Listening to Monty Don read his own words is quite satisfying and very informational. I'm enjoying his own practical experience and the meaning gardening has had in his life being deposited into mine. It will enrich my own gardening life. Thank you Monty.

Wonderful book! I am a beginner gardener but have grown around gardeners. I love Monty’s approach to gardening and recommend it to anyone. Also his voice is very comforting to listen to 👍🏻

This Audio book did more than educate me in the Garden, it brought a quiet joy. I so enjoy how they incorporated nature sounds into the book reading. I was able to learn in an unpretentious way new garden ideas. It was a pleasure to listen and so wonderful in this strange time in history.

Very soothing reading voice-easy listening. Interesting gardening information especially for a novice like myself- I learned a tremendous amount and my garden is benefiting.

Lovely gardening narrative

I love Monty Don very dearly, and his confident and soothing voice made this audiobook no trouble to listen to. However, this book is really more of a reference guide than a narrative, and if I had it in hard copy I’d be flipping back and forth through the sections to get the information I need when I need it. Monty giving precise details on how to prune various shrubs in order of their flowering habits is not the best way to learn that information. Also there are phrases and sentences repeated verbatim in different sections, which is of course no problem when you’re reading a reference book but jarring when you listen.
