Acerca de esta escucha

Tourmaline Harris's life hit pause at 15, when her mom went to prison because of Tourmaline's unintentionally damning testimony. But at 18, her home life is stable, and she has a strong relationship with her father, the president of a local biker club known as the Wardens.

Virginia Campbell's life hit fast-forward at 15, when her mom "sold" her into the services of Hazard, a powerful attorney: a man for whom the law is merely a suggestion. When Hazard sets his sights on dismantling the Wardens, he sends in Virginia, who has every intention of selling out the club - and Tourmaline. But the two girls are stronger than the circumstances that brought them together, and their resilience defines the friendship at the heart of this powerful debut novel.

Even if the story sucked (it doesn't), this book would still be worth reading. The writing is exquisite. The author gives vivid details without extraneous stuff that can get boring. It's just really pleasant to read. But then it also has an intriguing plot and fantastic characters. This isn't even my usual genre, but it's one of the best books I've read in a while.

I didn't think I was going to like the narrator at first, but once I got into the book, I realized she was perfect for it.

Fantastic
