The Daleks are advancing, their empire expanding into Earth's space. The Earth forces are resisting in every way they can. But the battles rage on across countless solar systems. And now the future of our galaxy hangs in the balance....
The Doctor finds himself stranded on board a starship near the frontline with a group of ruthless bounty hunters. Earth Command will pay them for every Dalek they kill, every eye stalk they bring back as proof. With the Doctor's help, the bounty hunters achieve the ultimate prize: a Dalek prisoner. But where the Daleks are involved, nothing is what it seems, and no one is safe. Before long the tables will be turned, and the Doctor will become a prisoner of the Daleks....

The story was good, though, I feel like the Daleks have lost a bit of their high-end enemy status with a few of the latest episodes. Prisoner of the Daleks brings back all of the horror, viciousness, and brutality that the Doctor's oldest enemy should have. Very well done.

Would you consider the audio edition of Doctor Who: Prisoner of the Daleks to be better than the print version?
All you Time Lords looking to expand on the Daleks, might want to check this out. The reviews were good so I took this on, and was quite pleased. It is a bit muckity muck starting but the second half of the book flies. The Doctor's beliefs are very torn in his actions and you see a deeper side of him through this. No spoilers here, mates, you should check it for yourself. I gave the performance five stars because he does have the doctor spot on. Well played my friend, well played indeed...Oh, Come now!

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
Anyone who enjoyed The Day After or otherwise needs some additional motivation to leap off a building. What was most disappointing about Trevor Baxendale’s story?
75% of this book is an elongated dissertation of torture, humiliation and needless violence, contributing little or nothing to the story arc itself. The first and last parts of the story would have been a good story alone. One can only assume an editor talked a writer into expanding a short story into a novel. A writer with no sense of humor and a penchant for poking puppies and kittens with a stick.Any additional comments?
For me, the Doctor represents the best combination of intelligence, wit and compassion. This novel references none of those admirable qualities.Tired of the sunny disposition of th Walking Dead?
