Aidan Burke is the perfect rebound guy for Jessie Law after she catches her asshole ex-boyfriend with his hands down some other girl's pants. When she meets the world-famous drummer of Dirty B on a night out, she takes him up on his simple proposal: one night of fun, hot sex with zero expectations. But soon Dirty B's tour is over, and they're back in South Carolina - which means running into Aidan more often than Jessie would like.

When Aidan saves Jessie from her ex-boyfriend by insisting that the two are dating, the band's manager convinces them to keep up the charade in the hopes of reinventing Dirty B's image as lovable bad boys as opposed to d-bags. Now all Aidan and Jessie have to do is put on a very obvious, very public show to convince everyone that their affection is real. Unfortunately, Aidan's hordes of jealous fans have no problem bombarding Jessie with threatening messages online - and worse. And things only get more complicated when Jessie realizes that her feelings for Aidan may not be so fake after all.

I usually love an Emma Hart story, but I got tired after a while of Jessie’s bad temper and constant crankiness. I think she was meant to be sassy and prove she wasn’t fangirling over Aidan, but it just seemed tiresome and went on too long. Aidan was a much more likable character imo. I thought the narrators did an excellent job and it was fun to involve other family members a lot in the story.

I have read the rest of this series and enjoyed them. I might have enjoyed this book too except that Iggy Toma's version of Jessie's voice left me confused. He had her come off as a snobby b**** with no real reason as to why. The story itself was good but needed more of a reason for the animosity between the two. I liked the idea of Aiden having to fight for his love.

I definitely recommend listening n deciding urself because I was about to pass on it cause of the reviews n I’m so glad I didn’t. The story is about a couple different things so it’s not the same “rock god” books.. 😉

Great rock story

I thought that it was just the first book in this series that was messed up, but, no, it's the author. Why does every woman in this series have to be stupid, stubborn, and an idiot. It seems like maybe this author is a hateful, spiteful person. Not all women act like this women in this series. As a matter of fact, most women would love to have a strong man to look after them. They don't have to give up their independence, but they also know when a man is showing you that he cares. Not these women. So far in this series, every woman has been a b****. Not real. I am really having a hard time finishing this series. I hope that the next book doesn't have a stupid woman in it. Emma Hart, I will never waste a credit on anything that you write.

Like in retail the saying is location location location, and in writing it’s punctuation punctuation punctuation and in recorded books it’s NARRATOR!

Because as cute as the book seems it might be who the &e// can find out when it sounds THIS bad!

This was, again, another story where sex was a main attraction . Yay to the author! I’m getting tired of this theme. Why are we paying for these type of trash?!

the main lady in this story is unbearable. she's a nasty bi**h to Ayden for at least the first 4 hours (couldn't get past that) and there is no way in hell if I was that guy I would put up with such a bitchy person for as long as he did. more than halfway in and I'm waiting for the story to develop
