There were so many amazing points in this book, I love how Jeanne addresses each area of marriage and then discusses how to bring your spiritual relationship into it. From finance, to communication to my favorite topic time. There are practical tips all along the way for how to talk about your needs/wants and also be open to hear from your partner. In chapter 5 it speaks to quality time in mentioning how it’s a buffer against stress and that both partners should express freely with each other their needs for quality time as well as time to explore their own unique interest. Focusing on quality over quantity. I really feel that this is a must for a healthy relationship. Having specific times set aside for each other but also respecting each other’s interest. All in all it was a really insightful book covering a broad range of topics with great devotional prompts that span an entire year that you can explore with your partner.

I have loved this book! I originally got it it give to my engaged daughter. But when I started to listen to a bit of it, I realized that it would be good for my husband and I to do as well. Even though we have been married for 23 years, it has been a really fun exercise to do together. I especially love the daily devotionals!

A wonderful gift for a newlywed couple, but also the information is applicable to marriage in general, and would be a good anniversary gift for a more longstanding couple. I liked the focus on effective communication and openness to help deepen connections. The daily exercises mean you can take this as a slow and steady process, and smaller bites mean you don't have to set aside a few hours in one go. Having the pdf available was also helpful. While the topics start with a scripture passage, everyday issues are fleshed out, like money/finances, thoughts on spending, honest conversations surrounding debt etc. Very good book.
