Delphi Station is book three in the best-selling sci-fi adventure series Delphi in Space.

Now the McCormacks are finally going to get into space. At least if the big governments on Earth don’t stop them. They’ve managed to accumulate enough money to build a city, and now they’re going to build a space station that will create a safe place to manufacture their new technology, and a way to demonstrate to the world that humans have a future in space.

But as they demonstrate more advanced technology, they attract more interest from the world’s governments. The people in power aren’t too happy to be sharing it with some small company in the South Pacific. What will it take to keep their dream alive?

Really like the premise, wasn’t sure if it was a kid’s book at certain points but love the idea it’s really what should be happening.
I dislike complaining about narrators but this one is pretty mechanical ☹️

This series is a nice slow down from my normal listening of hardcore science fiction. Nice to hear an origin story that doesn’t jump millennia after just starting.

Just keeps getting better.

The first 2 books had a definite YA lean, but still tended towards the exceptionally minded and capable 13yo working with adults as her peers. In that set up, the times she got whiney and a bit grating were realistic and only to be expected. This book, more children were introduced, interactions between children were far more prominent, and the entire book as a whole just felt more.. whiney and grating.

I dunno. the story is still decent, so long as you don't mind a lack of action. The additional children parts dug pretty deep into the science, projects, and overall plot progression, though.

I'm likely to give one more a go. If the increase of children and decrease of substance continues this books trend, it'll be my last, though.

Narrator is improving, but still a noob.

I’m kind of a sci-fi freak. So far I’ve been enjoying the series looking forward to the next book.

This is the 3rd book of the series. You could start here but the story grows naturally out of the first book and never stops. I am on my second time though the series, I’m still picking up little details that the story come to life.

Great book but listen to the series in order.

I’m finding I relish how Bob is creating situations that require thought and planning to address.

This book was good, some of the same issues as the last but the narrator isn’t bad per getting better. She ads little emotional and voice bits that help but she still needs more character range.

The Station takes shape even the US thinks it should be theirs.The President orders a strike fleet to take it or destroy Delphi City. The Chinese tries first but gets their butts handed to them. The scientists continue to make great strides in research and development of new tech.

Bob Blanton has another winner series.

Could use a narrator, and my only complaint is that the MC has taken a back seat and you mostly get a group view and his daughter is taking the lime light. Also the MC has kept being a push over for his daughter.
