Welcome to Junebug Farms, a successful, well-known animal shelter in upstate New York, where every day brings something new - love, stress, heartbreak, warmth - and not just from the animals.

Since inheriting Junebug Farms from her grandmother, Jessica Barstow's life revolves around it, and she has no time or energy for much else. Not hobbies. Not fun. Not love - certainly not love. And the new, young, and hip TV reporter who's been sent to host the upcoming fundraising telethon isn't going to change that - even though it seems like she wants to change everything else.

Sydney Taylor has zero desire to cover human interest stories in some Podunk, upstate New York hamlet, but that's where she's landed - for now. So she'll make the best of it until she can get something bigger. In the meantime, she is assigned to host the annual live fundraising telethon for some local animal shelter. It's just a job; she doesn't have time to get attached. And it doesn't matter that the rigid, keeps-to-herself CEO of the shelter is resistant to anything Sydney suggests. Or that she's super attractive and sexy. That doesn't matter at all....

Those of you who read Ms. Beers creations know that she has a formula. Sometimes it misses by a little bit, but in this case she hits the intended target....the reader’s heart. ❤️Of course Ms. Craden adds icing to the cake.
I hope Audible adds even more selections to choose from in the near future. They are kind of addictive 😉

The title really works

This one was 2nd favorite in this series, so far. Next to Rescued Hearts. Jessica is such a goof sometimes. Sydney was funny and smart and good looking. I loved their chemistry. Georgia does a great job building the characters in this lovely romance.

It did have just a few loose ends. SPOILER


Like why did Sydney adopt a cat at the end? She never once showed an affinity toward cats. There should have been at least a few scenes where she picks one up or wanders near the cat wall a time or two. It was just out of the blue. Also, Sydney explored the city by herself. That was wierd. Jessica should have taken her to a few places. <grumpiness expunged> Oh and what was the total raised by the thon???

But the love and laughter was exceptional. The telethon concept set expectations and timing. Jessica's adoring traits of following up with the purchasing families to check on them, the thank you letter collections, and her sitting with the dogs at night and her beautiful personality reminded me of Georgia Beers a bit. Sydney was super fun too. She was smart and classy, her looks were hot, and she was bold. Gotta like that.

Abby Craden did a fantastic job and I laughed and enjoyed her touches of dry wit and sensuality.

Great read. Go get it. Read it. Play it again.

The dialogue was the best of any book I’ve read. The two women were both more than likable. Overall, it was a sophisticated story for grown up women.

Well written and performed. Engaging with just the right dose of angst. Many moments of laughing out loud and guffawing at the dialog and the serendipitous happenings. Just a delightful story. Listen. You will like.

Happy with how Anna was resolved, cus my god I was tired of her.
It wasn't my favorite of the three, but it was still nice to see Jessica have her story.

Love the animal rescue and portraying the sense of responsibility for your pets and the ones that need a forever home.
Great incentive for volunteering at an animal shelter. And the needs and efforts of the animal shelter personnel and volunteers.

I listened to this because of Abby Craden!!
I absolutely love her voice. And then I was so excited when it ended up being about June bug farms. I loved the book with Catherine and Emily. And I’m not even a dog person. I’ve been with my wife 30 years and neither one of us are really dog people or animal people. I know it’s sort of a sin being a lesbian. But I absolutely loved the storyline even with all the animals it really touched my heart and was an amazing story! Thank you Loved it 100%🤗🤗❣️❣️

This is part of a wonderful series by Georgia Beers where you get two for one- some spicy romance AND a fury pet love story! Wow! The characters are well written and the narration is good, though a little more challenging with so many females this time. I was hoping for an epilogue that would bring my HEA full circle- a syndicated travel show highlighting small towns + on-air consultant disaster relief for pets- to give character growth, as well as relationship stability. Overall, this is a very enjoyable listen!
