Acerca de esta escucha
A rare opportunity for contact with a wise and ample personality. - Edward F. Edinger, Foreword.
This book is about the complexity of human relationships and the inner and outer reactions that are touched off by our contact with others.
Each of life's important relationship situations is discussed separately: the family, including the relationship of child to mother, to father and to siblings, and parent to child; men and women; marriage; and friendship. The psychological theory is interspersed with a wealth of earthy examples drawn from more than thirty years practicing as a Jungian analyst.
Close Relationships conveys directly the heart, soul and personal relevance of Jungian psychology. The language is clear and nontechnical. The examples have that ring of truth which stems from unusual clarity of vision. It may be just the book you've been looking for, for family members and friends or for yourself.
Eleanor Bertine, M.D., was one of the first American physicians to practice as a Jungian analyst. She was a founding member of the Analytical Psychology Club of New York in 1936 and a patron of the C.G. Jung Institute in Zürich when it was established in 1948. Her collected papers were published by the Jung Foundation of New York in 1967 under the title Jung's Contribution to Our Time.
