Shep has to get Johnny to play the part of Scrooge in the Christmas show or Dottie will close the doors of the theater. If the theater closes, Cody will be forced into being himself all the time. And for him, that would be a disaster. Shep teaches him more about owning his identity and more about the BDSM lifestyle.
