The male lead is wealthy and powerful, which removes some of the tension of the story but also adds a fun kind of escapism and rags to riches feel.
I loved this book and will be continuing the series. If you’re new to Penelope Wright, don’t stop here, her other books explore wildly different storylines but keep the same emotionally honest main character. She’s absolutely a writer worth following. For me her books are always an instant buy.
