Acerca de esta escucha
As the demand for personal protection rises, be sure to be educated in the world of armor, as it could serve as a life saver.
Body armor is becoming more and more of a consumer staple as violence continues to rise within the world. Riots over race, gender, religion, and other human rights and equality issues continue to bring tension whether you want to be a part of the movement or not. Body armor has been used since medieval times by the military and is now common among average civilians. This audiobook will provide you with a brief history of body armor as well as an analysis of today's body armor.
I possess a bachelor's degree in business administration from Tiffin University.

At the time of his tragic death in February 2013, former Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, the most accomplished sniper in U.S. military history, was finishing a remarkable book that retold American history through the lens of a hand-selected list of firearms. Kyle masterfully argues that guns have played a fascinating, indispensable, and often under-appreciated role in our national story. He carefully chose ten guns to help tell his story, ranging from the American long rifle to the modern M-16, and uses these guns as a platform for exploring American history.

Through interviews with defense experts, ethicists, psychologists, and activists, Scharre surveys what challenges might face "centaur warfighters" on future battlefields.

Starting with the premise that all civilizations owe their origins to warmaking, Keegan probes the meanings, motivations, and methods underlying war in different societies over the course of more than two thousand years. Following the progress of human aggression in its full historical sweep, from the strangely ritualistic combat of Stone Age peoples to the warfare of mass destruction in the present age, his illuminating and lively narrative gives us all the world's great warrior cultures.

In this major and wholly original contribution to military history, John Keegan reverses the usual convention of writing about war in terms of generals and nations in conflict, which tends to leave the common soldier as cipher. Instead, he focuses on what a set battle is like for the man in the thick of it.

Most people think of snipers as shooters perched in urban hides, dealing out death unseen from a considerable distance. But this description barely scratches the surface. Special operations snipers are men with stacked skill sets who have the ability to turn the tide of battles, even when they aren't pulling the trigger. Snipers have played an outsized role in the War on Terror that has earned them the Medal of Honor, Navy Cross, and countless other honors.

Historia
The battle of Cowpens was a crucial turning point in the Revolutionary War in the South and stands as perhaps the finest American tactical demonstration of the entire war. On January 17, 1781, Daniel Morgan's force of Continental troops and militia routed British regulars and Loyalists under the command of Banastre Tarleton. The victory at Cowpens helped put the British army on the road to the Yorktown surrender and, ultimately, cleared the way for American independence.

Quality Narrator
This reminded me a lot of a CD or D movie the narrator seem to do a good job and tried to keep you engaged and I thought overall he did a decent job at that but the source material was so abysmal that even the best narrator would struggle to keep its listener engaged. Overall because of this book I'm pretty interested to see where this narrator goes and I think they could actually become a pretty good narrator if they just touch up a few things and get a little bit more practice as it seems to be this was his first work but probably won't purchase anything more from this author.

Shallow - Not proof read.
The book has verious phonetic mistakes and missing words. It also isn't a very deep dive into the subject and a simple Google search of the topic would be more informative.
