Theses books are so engaging! The main character is so entertaining that, even during the action scenes I find my self giggling a little!

The narrator - J. Rodney Turner - is the perfect voice for this novel. His performance really enhances the entire story. A wonderful adventure in the Wild West.

with a good moral compass he lives care free. but his use of the tricks of the trade he saves countless pilgrims. but that may be enough.

overwhelming numbers of bandits and charlatans do affect Preacher in the least. with a good moral compass he lives care tree.

The ultimate mountain man Preacher is like a modern day Mitch Rapp. He becomes in this book a larger than life legend, guide, tracker and warrior. He is the god of all mountain men and was baptized in a keg of gunpowder.

Preacher becomes the 1st man in "cowboy" history to be the FIRST gunfighter to use the QUICK DRAW and kill bad guys with his holstered pistols. He invented the holsters out of animal hide.

Even most Indians respect his as the most courageous of all men and sing songs about his legend. Every Indian tribe (even Crows and Blackfoot) gives Preacher a respectful name like Ghost Killer, White Wolf, Man Who Kill Silently or Bloody Knife and many other names.

Preacher even boasts to a group of bad guys before he kills them by saying: "I am Preacher. I've lived with wolves and fought grizzlies. I've tamed pumas and talked to eagles. I'm surlier than a badger, got more poison in me then a den full of rattlers, and I'm tougher than any man you have ever seen. You hear my words well. You will all die. All of you!"

Preacher goes on a rampage against over 50 bad guys, rapists, murders and thieves and kills every one of them. At one point he takes on about 22 bad guys all at once, while many groups of Indians watch in amusement.

Another point in the book he uses like jungle warfare tactics ie by digging holes in a trail filled with sharp sticks or by swinging heavy log like branches to swing from a tree to kill the bad guys. He even kills a bunch of guys with a rock slide.

Preacher's legendary fame reaches to the PRESIDENT of the United States near the end of the book.

There is a lot of raping of wagon train women and girls going on by the bad guys, but thankfully in this book the author does not go into detail. As he has done in other books to my total disgust. All the wagon train men are tortured and the boys sold as slaves.

I love the old sayings like "Hello the camp!" when a stranger walks in on a mountain man sitting before a fire brewing "coffee that is black as sin and twice as hot". Or do you have soap in your possibles bag? I also like it when the author says he cut his eyes meaning squinted his eyes.

"He was as nutty as a pecan tree."
"He had a stupid look on his stupid face."
"He have more holes in him than a tree full of woodpeckers."

I must mention that I never fast forwarded this book like I do in badly written books. Actually I had to rewind a few times because the story or writing was just so good or entertaining or unbelievably cool.

Preacher Becomes Legend / Lots of Killing

I am enjoying this series so far. The infamous, mountain man called preacher, decides he needs to “clean house” by eliminating some of the worst bandits that have been terrorizing the frontier settlers. They raid the wagon trains. They steal their goods, take the women and children and then slaughter them all when they are done with them. Preacher knows who these evil men are, he sets out to end them all.
