Acerca de esta escucha

Talbot Uskevren, the second son of one of Selgaunt's most powerful families, fights a deadly battle within himself. Like most men of his station, Talbot spends his days honing his sword fighting skills, and unlike others, practicing the art of acting. Now, Talbot will put both of these talents to the test when a rival House comes looking for blood. The only way for Talbot to survive against the Black Brotherhood is to let the inner wolf loose, and the only way for him to live in Selgaunt's society is to keep the wolf chained.

Black Wolf continues the story of the Uskevrens' second son, introduced in the story "Thirty Days" from The Halls of Stormweather. An exciting tale of werewolves in the Forgotten Realms, this is the fourth book in the Sembia series.

Not much to do with the family as a whole but a decent story none the less. Good listen overall.

Good story although not exactly in line

Though it still hits a few overused stereotypes on the topic, it’s a refreshing look at werewolves in the forgotten realms. The characters are wonderful to revisit, both old and new.

Good story, wonderful narration.

I read this book back in my youth. It’s still just as good now as it was then! Definitely this will always be one of my favorite stories.

Just as good as I remember!

Overall, the story continues much the way of the entire series - frequent plot holes that are only surpassed by the never ending instances of plot armor. The entire story hinges of Stannis's desire for revenge which is hardly logical and never remotely convincing as a story. The entire book feels like it was four or five completely different stories forcibly (attempted) to be pressed into one. It seems more likely that the author wanted to write several different stories, but was hired to write something for the context of this series so the author forces their stories into that context. It didn't work and it comes off as a garbled mess for the most part.

Unremarkable
