I invite you to embark on a journey through the pages of this story. Shelly-Anne finds herself here, questioning everything she thought she knew as she sits, pondering all that has happened over the past few months, which has ushered in a new era. She makes a connection with Henri-Joseph, then has to say goodbye, and hopes they will reconnect. Being back on home soil again, but still feeling unsettled, as she watches her friends put down new roots and move on with their lives. In contrast, she waits to reconnect with the man she loves.
She miraculously reconnects with Henri-Joseph but is left wondering if or when she and Henri-Joseph will make their relationship official and possibly get engaged. She thought, Okay, I’m where I want to be, with the man I love,' but I continued to have an eerie, unsettled feeling. I sense some of these vibes from Henri-Joseph, but the cause of his angst is currently unknown to me.
Shelly- Anne is puzzled about what destiny means as she pulls her diary down to write the puzzling questions she has been asking herself. Could my recent experience prompt me to question whether fate exists or if we can truly shape our path despite the illusions of time? Maybe destiny isn’t just about events—it’s about connections. Are two people truly meant for each other, or do we keep finding each other because we choose to?
I question this because I ended up with a Henri-Joseph, the same name as my father, and both men act alike, although they are from different centuries. How can this be? Is this an accident, or was it meant for me to time travel to find him? I’m starting to believe that every choice we make holds the weight of destiny. Why did I go on vacation? Why did I go into the cave? And out of all the potential people we could have met, why did we meet Henri-Joseph and Andre?
I hope that my senses, which continue to fire, bode well for me and Henri-Joseph, that our outcome will be as good as the ones my friends currently share in their relationships.
