  • Student Spotlight: Conversation with Jerry Tullo, Class of 2026 - Part I

    Short Bio: Jerry Tullo was born and raised in New York and graduated from Harvard University with a concentration in Human Evolutionary Biology. During his undergraduate studies, he assisted in fMRI and PET neuroimaging research on Major Depressive Disorder and Alzheimer's Disease. His published research focuses on the usage of High-Frequency Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation in treating Major Depressive Disorder, at Geisel he has been involved in ENT department conducting research including AI-generated 3D models of surgical target tissue. After college, he spent five years working as a high school biology teacher at Quest to Learn, an innovative public school in New York City. As part of the NYC Teaching Fellows, he followed his mission to bring exciting and high-quality science education to high-needs inner-city schools. Prior to his time as a teacher and medical student, he worked as a professional sailing coach, boat captain, and outdoor educator. In his spare time, Jerry enjoys sailing, scuba diving, and other outdoor activities.
