Have you ever heard of “car camping” or “van life”? As simple as it sounds, it is the act of spending the night in a car while traveling instead of in a hotel.

In the past few years, car camping has become very popular in the United States. I started car camping about five years ago and have been addicted to it since then.

Recently, I went on a trip across the West Coast with my lovely companions, Mocha and Latte, who were both rescue dogs. I danced my favorite salsa in various places from Los Angeles to Seattle. I also stayed at the spiritually famous Mt. Shasta during my trip. In terms of distance, it's about the same distance as traveling entirely around Japan.

Since September 2022, I have been living inside the car with my dogs in the city of Los Angeles. I even wrote this book in the car so that my dogs won’t be left alone. This kind of lifestyle is very different from the super busy and stressful life I had when I was making a living as an accounting auditor. I am having a fun American life by wandering freely.

In this book, I will explain the reasons why I recommend car camping, how much it costs, what things are needed, how to DIY and set up a car without hassle, what car camping gears are recommended, how to find a place to stay and take a shower, and tips on how to maintain safety measures, so that even a solo female camper can easily start a safe and comfortable car camping.
