 Fearing for his life and concerned about being framed for a crime by his partner, Victor leaves an abusive relationship. With help from Caitlin's Escape Route, he returns home to Florida.

During a conversation with his father, he reveals that after he came out as gay, eight years earlier, his mother told him he had been adopted. That was just before she walked out on them. Victor admits that he felt responsible for the pain this caused his father.

He returns to work as a chef in his father’s restaurant. At the same time, he joins the Big Brother program, believing mentoring troubled children might be one way to help break the cycle of domestic violence.
