Welcome to another episode of Retrotopia: Another Video Game Podcast. This is a show where we, Alan, Brian, and Sam, get together to discuss video games from years gone by. We like to look at video games from the perspective of lifelong gamers and how they hold up in the retro sphere.

This week we are discussing Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, an Xbox 360/PS3 game released in 2008 that puts players in the role of Starkiller, Darth Vader’s secret apprentice, on a mission to hunt down the remaining Jedi between Episodes III and IV. The game delivers a dark, cinematic take on the Star Wars universe, with a heavy focus on Force-powered combat—letting players unleash devastating abilities like Force lightning, telekinesis, and lightsaber combos. With a story that bridges the prequel and original trilogies, The Force Unleashed explores themes of identity, redemption, and rebellion, offering a powerful look at the origins of the Rebel Alliance.
