John Domandl has a triathlon career that spans over 40 years. He has competed in over 150 events which includes four triathlon World Championships. In 1988, John represented his home country of Australia at the Paralympics in Seoul, South Korea.

I caught up just after his second time competing at UM Australia in 2025. John had quite the adventure in Noosa. We talk about all of the ups and downs that the three days brought to his life and to the lives of his team.

John has retinitis pigmentosa and is an ambassador for Cure Blindness Australia. You can learn more about the organization at their website or contribute at the Donate Page.
