Acerca de esta escucha

When Victoria Gordon wants something she doesn’t let anything stand in her way. It’s Vicky’s dream to build a chain of luxurious spas, and for the first of her 5 star spas she wants a spectacular location. After an exhaustive search, she finds it. To her delight, besides having a breath-taking view, there's an old mansion on the property that she can turn into her head office. The mansion belongs to Sloane Van Houghton, the great-grandson of Ernst Van Houghton whose young wife, Rebecca, died there—some say was murdered there. The Van Houghton brothers were known for their cruelty. It was said that evil ran in the Van Houghton blood. When Vicky approaches a local real estate agent who knows the property and knows that it’s not for sale, Vicky presses her. Seeing how determined Vicky is, the agent tells her the dark history of the house concluding with the revelation that it’s haunted by Rebecca’s ghost. But Vicky scoffs at that. She won't let the matter of a ghost—which she doesn't believe in to begin with—dissuade her. She wants the property and the mansion, and she demands to talk to the owner. She has no doubt her money will get her what she wants. It always does. For the first time in her life, Vicky meets a man she can’t buy much less get her way with. When Sloane does sell her the property, it’s on his terms, and his terms means the end of her perfect life. But the nightmare she’s plunged into forces her to examine that privileged life. When she turns to her boyfriend, Andrew Cambridge (the guy she takes for granted) for help, she learns the difference between lust and love. When she meets Tristram Lehane, a shy Irishman who appears out of nowhere claiming Rebecca reached out to him, she learns the meaning of selflessness. And when she opens the door to the Van Houghton mansion, she learns what fear is. She learns that it's terrifying, that it fills the mansion, and that it's trying to strangle Rebecca's voice.
