We talk about the latest discussion on the @millartime5717 podcast where Legendary Comic Book creator Mark Millar brings back 2 comic book shop owners, John Robertson who owns 13 stores in Illinois and California called Graham Cracker Comics www.grahamcrackers.com and Phil Boyle who owns 10 stores in Florida called Coliseum of Comics https://coliseumofcomics.com/our-history/ over 1 year ago Mark originally had these gentleman on and they discussed the comic book industry and the issues that were dragging the industry down.
This discussion was triggered by a short clip that went viral of Glenn O'Leary, owner of Comic Book Palace when he shared that writers who "self insert themselves" into comic books. He mentioned nobody wants to read that and those stories are hurting comics. Many attacked Glenn due to his comment was led into Mark bringing comic book owners on his podcast to talk about it.
One year later Mark speaks again to these owners and they speak about positive changes that have taken place in the industry and opportunities that still exist for mainly DC and Marvel to correct. Enjoy!
