What exactly is spirituality? What role does religion, meditation, nature, community, individual practices, relationships, etc. play?
Today, on A Coach, a Nutritionist, and an Expert Walk Into a Podcast, Nathan Hill, relationship coach, joins Mike Krause and Helena Fowler to tackle the final pillar in their journey through 6 Pillars of Wellbeing: Spiritual Wellbeing – an often overlooked aspect of wellness that can show up in surprising ways.
In this Episode
🎧 Discovering what spirituality means to you personally—whether it's connecting with something bigger than yourself, finding inner peace, or living by your core values
🎧 Why human connection often plays a bigger role in our spiritual wellbeing than we might expect, and what happens when we try to go it alone
🎧 Learning to recognize when your spiritual wellbeing cup is running low and what that might feel like in everyday life
🎧How our spiritual needs and definitions naturally shift and grow throughout different seasons of our lives
🎧 Exploring how spirituality can show up in our lives outside of religious frameworks, whether through activities like yoga, meditation, quiet time in nature, or something else
🎧Discovering whether you're naturally drawn to experiential spirituality (feeling and experiencing), philosophical spirituality (thinking and understanding), or relational spirituality (connecting with others)
🎧Spiritual practice doesn't have to look like sitting quietly; it can be active, embodied, and woven into everyday physical activities
🎧 Understanding how activities that seem purely physical might actually be nourishing multiple aspects of your wellbeing simultaneously
🎧 Why we sometimes try to fill spiritual voids with relationships, pets, food, or other external things – and why these well-meaning attempts often leave us still feeling empty
Nathan Hill is a coach specializing in relationships. With two degrees in religion, he uses story and legend to highlight deeper aspects of human experience – collective truths that connect us.
Set to receive his coaching certification from Coach Training Alliance in June, Nathan’s dedication to personal growth and development represents what he calls a coming home. His greatest skills include careful listening and the ability to create thought space for his clients. He balances curiosity that’s informed by his wide experience with a spiritually informed respect for silence.
One of Nathan's most fun recent projects is "The Villains Series." Using fictional villains from film and stories as a starting point, Nathan prompted his audience to engage with the concepts and themselves on a deeper level.
Nathan has made guest appearances on several LinkedIn Live events and hosted his own coaching focused live show in 2023. You can find him on LinkedIn at Nathan-x-hill.
