About the Author
Jake's love for reading and writing took off at a young age with his first reading series, Magic Treehouse, by Mary Pope Osborne. That early spark of imagination fueled his passion for exploring rich, fantastical worlds. Jake's literary influences include Michael O’Brien, C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, Paul Norris (creator of Aquaman), Anthony Horowitz, and Mary Pope Osborne herself.
His writing journey truly began during his time with the Dominican Friars, where he used writing to express himself and process the world around him. Jake’s favorite fiction series—Lord of the Rings, Chronicles of Narnia, Children of the Last Days, Alex Rider, and Percy Jackson—continue to inspire his craft today.
Venturing into science fiction, Jake enjoys the genre’s ability to explore humanity’s relationship with technology, using it as a lens to delve into human psychology and the human condition. While the backdrop of his stories may be futuristic or fantastical, it is the people in those worlds that matter most. Whether writing about technology's impact or the trials of his characters, Jake aims to illuminate what it means to be human in a rapidly evolving world.
