Layna Preston was a high school senior preparing for graduation and accept a full scholarship to MIT. Pretty and a brilliant math and science student, she couldn’t wait to be free from her life of ridicule and torment by her two younger sisters who continuously belittled her in front of her friends while their mother simply ignored their behavior.

Layna’s favorite escape was to visit the local planetarium on weekends. When it got dark out, she sat on the back porch at night to gaze up at the night sky. She often saw strange sights: flickering lights that moved in odd directions before disappearing and flashes across the sky that appeared, then quickly disappeared. Layna felt she belonged somewhere in that darkness; she didn’t know why that occurred to her and it had since she was a child. Alien crashes on Earth, UFO stories and weird pieces of history fascinated her and she pondered writing a book about it as an escape from the life she seemed to have been dealt.

In particular, Layna was fascinated with the Pleiades star cluster. Though she had no idea why, it felt familiar to her. Just about every evening she was able to see its familiar bright stars. She had no idea that she was a Starseed sent to Earth more than a thousand years earlier from Tenos, a planet colonized by Pleiadians when a war threatened their existence as a world.

Upon Layna’s arrival to Tenos, many things are revealed to her, including that other planets are very nervous about Earth’s violent tendencies and the damage they are causing to the planet. She learns that she will have a role as the future Queen of Tenos in the path Earth will take in the immediate future.
