Acerca de esta escucha
Have you ever wondered why young children are so curious?
Are you supportive of your child's or students' curious nature?
Do you view their curiosity as something that would propel them toward greatness?
If YES, nurture your child/student's curiosity because it may be their most important trait. When children are curious, they are eager to explore, discover and figure things out, just like Alice.
In the underground town of the prairie squirrels is told the legend of a magic river that granted wishes. If the river was once real, it vanished generations ago. Now, the squirrels must stay in their tunnels or risk being caught by humans, who have moved into and cleared their forest. And so, the whole town hunkers in fear underground—well, all except for young Alice, who is on a quest to find the magical, potentially mythical, river.
Before she was born, her explorer grandfather disappeared, just like the river, on his mission to find it. Alice feels it is her destiny and her family’s legacy to solve the mystery of the river and her missing grandfather. She only has to convince her parents, who are praying that the old saying—“curiosity killed the cat”—does not apply to squirrels, since they cannot seem to keep their inquisitive daughter out of danger.
Come along with Alice, the curious squirrel, and her animal friends on their adventure to discover if the magical river ever existed and, if so, what happened to it.
Adventures of Alice the Curious Squirrel will encourage your young reader to ask questions and take healthy risks. An ideal book for parents and educators to share with their children and students, it takes the intimidation out of pursuing curiosity and builds confidence. The story and its characters inspire us all to be braver and more outgoing in seeking answers to our questions and satisfaction of our longings.
“We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we’re curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.” – Walt Disney
