What was that incredible smell?...
Arturo looked around him. He’d learned over the centuries to tune most of human life if he wanted to keep his sanity.

They had no idea just what a target they placed on themselves just by their own behaviour. It amazed him continually, that any had survived at all but that survival instinct was strong.
They were vulnerable. Weak. A target. And his job was to keep as many safe as possible…
Breathing in again looking for more of what he needed.

A park square was up ahead with several people walking the edges of it. On the breeze, he caught the scent of something else. Something ….. other.
Several of them. Hunting. An invasion, that would have to be dealt with.

Suddenly he understood why his time was running out. Three humans were up ahead in the distance. A lone person remained moving along the path. The source of the scent. Arturo frowned.
