I introduce you to Darryn Eggleton, my favourite Wildlife Artist, based in Suffolk in the UK.

I invited Darryn to come and share his journey to becoming the amazing artist he is today, and how he has navigated bringing himself out from behind the canvas to tell his story with his audiences and clients.

You’ll get to hear how he’s spent some jaw-dropping artist residencies at places like Leopard Creek, a luxury golf resort on the banks of the Crocodile River; at the ‘Nature at Work’ museum in Gloucester and even on the Queen Mary, sailing along the coast of South Africa.

He also shares what it was like making the move from South Africa at 21, and hitting the reality of the struggling artist circuit in London.

Darryn Eggleton is a highly sought-after South African wildlife artist, based in Suffolk in the UK. His love and passion for the natural world started at a young age with family trips into the African bush, and with his family home being within the borders of the Kruger National Park.

He is deeply connected to his subject matter and obsessed with bringing his animals to life on the canvas. While he has won and been shortlisted for a wide variety of wildlife art awards, he has also enjoyed being a resident artist at a luxury golf resort on the banks of the Crocodile River in Kruger National Park, at the Nature in Art Museum in Gloucester, and even on the Queen Mary while sailing along the coast of South Africa.
