Acerca de esta escucha

Since the great champion Aviuvus tamed the Valley of Lu, a relative peace has held throughout the land. However, this peace could not be expected to last forever. In every age, there naturally needs to be a royal champion in charge of maintaining the peace. Currently, that champion is Prince Edward, the heir to the throne. When someone poisons Prince Edward, the kingdom is thrown into disarray. While the royal court looks for an antidote to cure what ails poor Prince Edward, the second in line to the throne, Prince Leopold, takes half the army to a distant stronghold to secure his safety.

That leaves the problem of what to do with Prince Timothy, the third in line. Timothy is only seven and not very important, or at least no one has ever asked him to do anything important. He is not a great general, warrior, or likely to be the heir to the throne. No matter how much he wishes to help solve the current problem, he isn’t bound to be asked to. All Timothy wants to do is find the poisoner and rescue his brother. Unfortunately, all his father wants is for Timothy to be stashed away somewhere safe and out of the way.

Thus, the king decides to send Timothy away to the Dwarves of Aurum. They have ample means to watch the prince. The only problem with that plan is the tiny problem of how to get Timothy to Aurum. With half the army protecting Edward and half protecting Leopold, the only option is a stealthy little journey. Timothy is stashed away in a trading caravan with a select group of unlikely adventurers. Only when a traitor turns up among Timothy’s party do the best-laid plans of the king fall apart. Now they will have to save both Timothy and the whole City of Aurum.

The first book in the In The Valley of the Lu series.
