Acerca de esta escucha
15-year-old Jeffrey Jones is in trouble - again. It doesn't matter that he and his friends helped catch a pair of thieves from their school's theater department. What sent his father's blood pressure through the roof is that one of the thieves is suing Jeffrey's family. By trying to do the right thing, Jeffrey has once again made everything worse.
Then a girl from school dies under mysterious circumstances and Jeffrey and his friends find themselves drawn into another chilling mystery. The police rule the girl's death an accident. Jeffrey thinks it's murder. And he thinks he knows who did it. There's only one problem. The person Jeffrey suspects is the most popular football player at school, and at the time of the girl's death he was on the field in front of hundreds of witnesses, leading his team to victory. How can a person possibly be two places at once? An impossible crime murder mystery for boys and girls age 11-15.
Hello! I write mystery and adventure books for sleuths of all ages and I'm thrilled and honored that you are here on my page. When I set out to write these books, I based them on the type of teen mystery books that I enjoyed reading when I was in the 6th, 7th and 8th grade. If you're looking for good mystery books for 11, 12 or 13 year old boys or girls, or good mystery books for 6th graders, 7th graders or 8th graders, these are perfect.
I've also heard from plenty of parents whose 10 and 11-year-olds really enjoyed the books, particularly books 1 and 2. If your preteen has good reading skills and enjoys mystery books, then books 1 and 2 are excellent.
Book 1) The Case of the Hollywood Art Heist
It's a hot summer and 14-year-old Jeffrey is stuck mowing lawns and cleaning out dusty, cobweb-covered garages for cranky old Mr. Kozlowski. But when the brother of the girl next door is arrested for stealing a valuable painting, Jeffrey and his best friend Pablo start a detective club and set out to investigate the crime. Together with their friends Marisol and Susie, they find themselves in a dark and dangerous mystery, where no one is telling the truth and everyone has something to hide. With time running out, the four friends must marshal all of their detective skills to rescue an innocent man from jail and prove their own worth. For boys and girls age 10-15.
Book 2) The Case of the Dead Man's Treasure
When Jeffrey's high school teacher hires him to find the driver responsible for a hit-and-run car accident, he thinks it's an easy case - until it leads to a search for an ancient treasure and a race against time with a gang of criminals who will stop at nothing to get their hands on the prize. Mystery, action, and suspense for boys and girls age 10-15.
Book 3) The Case of the Christmas Counterfeiters
Time is running out for 15-year-old Jeffrey Jones. While the rest of the world prepares to celebrate Christmas, he and his friends uncover a plot to flood the city of Los Angeles with billions of dollars in counterfeit currency. An action-packed adventure story for boys and girls age 11-15. Readers have voted this their favorite book in the series.
Book 4) The Case of the Deadly Double-Cross
All Jeffrey wanted to do was help a friend from school find her missing father. He had no way of knowing it would lead to his being arrested for the man's murder. Now after a daring escape, he and his friends must solve an impossible crime and catch a killer - before the police catch them. Mystery, action, and suspense! For boys and girls age 11-15.
