Acerca de esta escucha

The [System] was intended to be humanity’s salvation. But it turned out to be a double-edged sword that could just as easily lead to its destruction.

Following a series of thankfully successful efforts in Europe, Isaac travels overseas to show the world new ways of leveling, gather new allies, and gain power in the dungeons that have cropped up.

The whole affair would be perfectly doable, if it weren’t for the cult trying to destroy his work, the looming threat of another [System] Event, and the ever-present danger of humanity’s darkest aspects and the monsters they spawn.

Will humanity stand proud and stop the first demons to emerge in this new timeline or be swept away in a flood of hellfire?

God, I love this series.

First, I'm a big fan of the whole TimeTravelSecondChance sub genre. Litrpg is a wide and freaky niche, and hardly anyone loves it in it's entirety [e.g. dungeon crawl, dungeon core reincarnation, monster reincarnation, harem, reverse harem, Isekai [portal to another world, progression, slice of life .... and so on and so forth]. My point is THIS is my FAVORITE. The character is only as OP [overpowered due to having knowledge of the future] as he is clever enough to USE his secret knowledge without turning into a man-whore or hardly using the knowledge at all. Also, the supporting cast of characters are actually likeable. (I loved Raul's "I knew it! You're an alien!" scene to the buffedlement of Issac as he's about to do his BIG REVEAL moment --finally!).

I'll be honest folks, I got gitty seeing the third audiobook release. I've listened to, and relistened to, the first two books at least 7 or 8 times ---that's right, these books are long too, so feel free to judge me if you want. Additionally, I really Really like this narrator. He has a great Hero/Narrator voice that is soothing and believable that seems 'real' but with an Indiana Jones potential. Okay I'll stop there I'm rambling. The take home msg is this: This is a series, do not read this book first. Fans of Master Hunter K, Legend of the Arch Magus, Phase Shift, Threads of Fate, Natural Laws, The Ten Realms. Enjoy!

My favorite series this year!

The apocalypse isn’t my favorite genre, I probably went through most of the common “the system comes to earth” variations. But this premise that we did it to ourselves is an interesting take. Of course the series is slowly moving toward, it only takes one to destroy everything.

Destroy yourself

Only wish each of them was longer but definitely another solid one for sure with a nice little cliffhanger that I felt good about.

Can’t wait for the next one

Best one so far! yeah so it finally shows why Issac didn't run immediately to his family at the beginning and i did get a little emotional there also finally we get some of the dark gods minions at the end and now i wonder if there is going to be a time skip or something because of their doomsday clock?. anyways looking forward to book 4

Awesome

What else can I say? it's a fun ride with interesting concepts and a main character who actually cares about trying to do the right thing. i also love the family dynamic of the MC protecting his mother and sisters, im hoping to see someone try and attack them just so I can see Isaac lose his sh*t and wipe out some POS.

Brilliant

I think people have a hard time with slice-of-life stories and moments. The MC is OP and has a hard time dealing with what he knows from the future and what he's living in right now. It is understandable that he goes through emotional issues that he can't talk about with anyone really because in every sense of the issue he is alone.

This story is fun to get through and I'm enjoying watching the MC come to grips with everything and using what he knows to help those around him and consequently the world.

Refreshing Take

The story continues to progress with intricate, well thought out dynamics and the narration is really great. The narrator even subtly but appropriately noticeably alters the main character’s tone to reflect a change in his demeanor after certain events.

Can’t wait to listen to what happens next!
