Acerca de esta escucha

An Ancient Fairy Tale of Ista and Her Brother Asar is set in the Middle East, in ancient times, and has a pinch of relevance to the present, yet it is modeled in the same old authentic European and Middle Eastern folklore tradition of relatives, mishaps, and magic.

Ista and her little brother run away from their foster parents when she is contracted for an arranged marriage to someone she has never met. They try to cross the great desert to find a better life. The foster parents curse them, and a ghoul pursues them. Because of their disobedience, one is changed into an animal, and the other suffers in desert solitude. A pair of crows acts as their guardian angels. And yes, as all fairy tales go, there is a handsome prince, a marriage, a castle, their desire for happiness versus a villain who is determined that they not live happily at all, and worse.

But, in the end - they do.
