Although this is a fictional account it is based on numerous out of body and lucid dream experiences of the author. The characters may be composites but they are also very real. These astral plane college towns do exist and are set up for those who have been snatched from life unexpectedly young and are designed as comfort zones for that stage of life. Full tilt fun with the education option at the ready. My other non-fiction accounts of travels 'there' tend to the serious and philosophic, so American In Heaven tries on the lighter side of eternal life. And guess what, it's a good fit.
