I've been researching FBA online with YouTube videos etc. and had to take a long drive, decided to see what audio book options were out there. I admit, I was in a hurry to grab a book and hit the road, so I got scammed. This book was at the top of the search results, had 100 positive reviews and was about an hour longer than many of the others. It was priced a little lower than what a credit would cost so I ponied up the $$ and bought it, downloaded and started listening to it on my drive.

The first thing I noticed is that the narration is very wooden and the cadence was oddly paced. So I paid closer attention and I swear the author didn't want to pay to have a real human read this book; it is narrated by some kind of computer algorithm that strings the English words or phrases together! (And doesn't do a great job of it either; listen closely to the sample. I didn't do this before I purchased the book unfortunately.) Narration is terrible; there is no "humanity" in the pleasantly neutral voice as it drones on and lulls you to sleep.

I've never had this happen before , so I dug into the title a bit more and found that a book that was published on October 17th, 2019 had ONE HUNDRED 5-Star reviews on October 30th, 2019 which is the day I purchased the book. Interestingly enough, when I went through the reviewers; 54 reviews were all posted on the same day (Oct. 24), gave five stars and for some strange reason none of these reviewers have ever reviewed any other books on Audible or voted that any other reviews were helpful. Strange, huh? Not really, I suspect all of these reviews were false and aimed at getting this book to the top of the listing so that people like myself would purchase it. In this case, the deception worked but has also ensured that I sit down and write out a full review of my experience.

As for the content of the book itself; the actual information on researching and listing products for sale via Amazn's FBA service, there is very little worth the cost of admission here. Very basic information; so basic that if you are starting from "zero" this would be a terrible guide in my opinion. For people like myself who have some familiarity with Amazon already (I sold over $10,000 in products on Amazon last year through listings that I fulfilled myself; not through FBA; but I do have an experience with creating listings and the Amazon "back end" etc.) this book only touches lightly on the nuts and bolts of selling, picking products etc.

Honestly, this entire book feels like some would-be business savvy author decided that "FBA is HOT! I should do an audio book!" and either wrote or had someone ghost-write a quick manuscript, ran it trough a program that created a barely passable audio file, uploaded to Audible and paid for a host of internet Bots to leave glowing five-star reviews in the hopes of making a bunch of sales. Well, it worked on me; so I guess it was all worth it. Don't fall for this scam; find a book with some real reviews. My two cents.
