I enjoyed the story of the curvy young girl & young alpha stud male falling in love when they were teens BUT. The curvy girl let MEAN GIRLS bully & low her self esteem to feel that no one could or should love her. (weak human) I'm glad alpha boy didn't give up &follow his heart (wolf). M. Taiden did a great job with a happy ending. Don't let anyone make you feel less than. Even if you are from different worlds, background, color (species) if 2 consenting adults want to be with each other. The rest of the world be damned.
Wish the story was longer..still good job..Just enough love story & steamy sex.

Sweet, short story of BBW girl gets her hot Alpha

Genre: BBW shifter romance
Is it bad that I titled this review "not a waste of time?" Well, it totally wasn't, but if you've got less than 2 hours to listen, get a different short story or novella. The premise has been done before, and much better. The heroine is whiny and insecure. If you like the guy and he likes you, what is the problem? All the characters are pretty much one dimensional, which you might expect in something this short, but I have seen stories of this length that don't let that effect character development. Maybe this would have been on the plus side of average had it been long enough to more fully explore the characters, and for the action (aside from the sex) to make sense. There really is only one scene to offer any tension, but it goes nowhere.
The narrator will not go into my favorites list, not anywhere near it. Vocal differentiations were lacking, and her pitch was off.
Anyway, don't bother unless you've got time to kill.

great story to the beginning of this series. I had it on audio instead of kindle. but I will be puchasing it in kindle format.

Wow! Again, Milly knocked this out of the ballpark. Ryder did not take no for an answer he was finally going to have his mate. All the running away could not cure Cici from falling out of love with her Alpha wolf. She let foolish and jealous she-wolves tell her since was a human she could not possibly be the Alpha Sherwood of the pack. Lies they tell. As it turns out she is all Ryker ever wanted and he got his woman. Hope we see follow-up and see if she turns or stay human and if Darius and Sara get hooked up. Great job Ms. Maiden!

Because the book is so short, an epilogue would have made the book more enjoyable. It felt rushed and forced.

This was a dirty little story, but it was a good one. I enjoyed this quick little read/listen. The narrator, Lauren Sweet, did a good job performing it. I think it would be even better if it was expanded into a full length novel, but it's still good as is. Ok, off to read/listen to more.

Milly Taiden has done it again in this short novel. It checks off all my top choices love, hot sex, sexy shifters, sarcasm and happy endings. I just wished it was longer.
