 She left her life behind because she was running from an abusive boyfriend. She wasnt a clean slate to start again. Since she had decided a new city would be good for her she reached out to her friend Jenna. She arrived in town a few days later with her parent's blessing. It wasn't long until Alex tracked her down.

"Thought Jenna could hide you from me, did you? He snarled into my face. "Alex let go of my arm, please you are hurting me!" I said. "Perfect, just like you've been hurting me!" He snapped. "Look, I'm not your girlfriend, anyone, so let go and step back!" I shouted looking him in the eye. He raised his hand and slapped me across the face hard, my head jerked sideways. The side of my face hitting the wall.

"You are never to say that again, do you understand!" He snarled angrily. I turned my head to face him. As I looked him in the eye, I saw his face change. He released my arm and stumbled backwards, a growl came from inside me, causing him to back away more.

"How did your eyes change.... they.... they ice blue!" He stuttered. "Touch me again, come near me again and that's the last thing you will ever see!" I growled taking a step towards him. "You're my girl if I can't have you no one can!" He shouted backing away from me further. "Mmm, let see I moved out, came to a new city and told you we were done!" I replied. "The only time we're done is if you are back home where you belong or six feet under your choice!" He snapped. "I'll take six feet under you're most welcome to try, I'm not scared of you anymore Alex, and I will never let you touch me again!" I growled.

"Hey Sam, is everything all right? Jenna shouted. I took a deep breath when Alex turned and started running. I turned towards Jenna and noticed the two men standing beside her. I moved my hair to cover my face as I walked towards them and smiled. "Yeah, everything is fine now!" I replied, smiling. One of the men raised his hand, touching my cheek gently. He moved my hair away from my face and I stepped back into the shadows. "How bad is it this time Sam? Jenna asked. "It's fine, you guys, do it I'm going to use the restroom first!" I replied. We'll get the table Jenna, you go with Sam!" The guy who touched my cheek said as he opened the door for us.

We walked towards the ladies' room once inside, Jenna reached up and tucked my hair behind my ear. "I'm going to kill Alex for this, your face is swollen a little, your eye is already turning blue, not to mention the split lip you have, he hit you hard this time!" Jenna said shaking her head. "That's why I left him, as you can see he's not taking rejection well is he!" I replied turning to look in the mirror. "If you change you can heal yourself!" Jenna said. "Excuse me!" I replied looking in the mirror. "I know you're a wolf Sam why don't you just shift and heal!" Jenna said. "How long have you known? I asked. "About a year now, we had a fight and you left. I followed and saw you change. I didn't understand it at first, so I did some research, I just thought it was a myth but who knew twilight was real!" She replied, winking at me. "I'm not shifting, it hurts too much!" I replied, not meeting her eyes.

His eyes were green, the greenest I have ever seen, the moment he touched my skin I knew instinctively that he was my mate. However, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't see his face, all I could see is his eyes and the way I felt when he touched me. I woke up, my breathing heavy and erratic. I looked down and realized everything was soaking wet, groaning I climbed out of bed, stripped everything off
dumped it into the laundry basket before getting int the shower I leaned my head forward to let the water run over it as I closed my eyes.
"Green eyes, why can I only see his green eyes!" I said to myself. I knew he was my mate and I knew he was close however why now?
