What would have made Adrift in the Time Stream better?

Starting at the beginning instead of assuming we knew what the author was trying to tell us.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

His monotonous tone without character and emotion. I have heard recipes read with more passion. I lasted only thirty minutes and have now deleted the book.

A waste of money!

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

A voice actor who actually knew how to act, or at least sound like he gave a care about his performance. Or maybe someone actually listening to this before releasing it and realizing how bad a job he did.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Al Peterson?

Anyone without a lisp, a heavy accent, a lack of desire to do a good job, but most of all not someone who suffered from all of the above. In fairness, his lisp and accent might not have been too bad, except he kept speaking in a constant speed, tone, and pitch no matter what he was actually reading. It all just blended together into something unintelligible.

Always listen to the audio sample. I'm going to go see about getting this book as an actual book because I thought the story sounded interesting, but I couldn't make it three minutes into this guys horrible performance.
