What does every college athlete aspire to do? Play professionally, and Emily is no different. She has worked her entire life practicing, playing, and perfecting her golf game. She is at her peak performance; competing and winning college tournaments. She has a real chance of getting an offer to play professional women's golf next year, but then she sustains an injury just before the start of the next season. Fortunately, the university has assigned each sports team a personal trainer. She will just see him for a few weeks and be good as new before the first tournament. Emily is determined that she will not let anything stand in her way of reaching her life’s goal.
What is more satisfying to a college student than graduating early with their desired degree? Erik has spent the last three years learning, studying, and preparing himself to become the best personal trainer possible. He has high hopes of working with a professional sports team one day but knows that it will take a lot of hard work and high recommendations from his upcoming internship. He was hoping to get assigned to the baseball team for his last semester internship but ended up with the girl's golf team. Despite his initial hesitation with this assignment, he quickly adjusts and finds great satisfaction when he is able to reverse one of the girl’s injuries before the start of the season.
But what happens when the athlete and the trainer develop feelings for each other? It goes against the school policy for them to date. Do they wait out the rest of the semester? Do they date in secret? Is it best to just be friends? Can they just ignore their feelings? A serious relationship would interfere with both of their future plans. Is a chance at love worth the risk of changing all your dreams or is it just a long shot?
