Acerca de esta escucha

Art evaluator Miles Tate is finally about to start living his dream . . . that is if he can get the funding in place to open his own art gallery in New York. But when an unexpected turn of events finds every one of Miles's perfectly-planned dreams turned upside-down, it's time to escape Manhattan and reluctantly take up a well-paid job in the tiny seaside town of Hope's Bluff, Georgia. For Miles, it's his only chance to make some money, claw back what little dignity he has left, and figure out what the hell to do with his life.

But evaluating the art collection of a deceased estate isn't made easy by the grandson of the dearly departed. Indeed, the young man who calls himself Rainbow is a hot-tempered, hotter-than-hell artist whose secrets run deep and passions run raw. He is talented, troubled, tempestuous, and deaf . . . and possibly the one person who can save Miles from his own heartache.

Can Miles finish the job he's been paid to do . . . or will two opposites find that they have more in common than they first imagined? Can the pair of them find the strength in each other to rebuild their lives . . . or will the traumas of their pasts drive them both away? Will Miles turn his back on the handsome, hurt, artistic genius he's stumbled upon . . . or will he finally find true love in the arms of a Boy Called Rainbow?

I hope the cover never changes! If one was to judge a book by it's cover, this one is worth it! This title is a 1POV age-gap m/m romance in which the younger MC is deaf. I enjoyed watching our heroes fall in love as well as getting to know the supporting cast of rich and well fleshed out characters. Robin Knight is new to me and I enjoyed this title so much I am definitely looking for more of his work. I enjoyed Lance West - although not a favorite of mine - he performed well; I thought his southern accent of the 'good ol' white' wealthy men - like Rainbow's horrible brother - was spot on.

4 Starz - worthy of a repeat listen

Stunning!
A friend recommended this audiobook, and I’m eternally grateful. I loved it madly!
Art appraiser Miles Tate’s comfortable life in Manhattan explodes unexpectedly, and he finds himself taking a job in a sleepy Georgia seaside town. Instead of opening his art gallery in New York, Miles is appraising the artwork of a deceased local woman. If he can get past her grandson. Her very attractive and mercurial grandson called Rainbow.
This book was so much more than I expected it to be! It was emotional, heartfelt, tense, and suspenseful. The writing is excellent, and Lance West's narration is superb.
