In the book of Proverbs 10:1 the Bible teaches us that there are two kinds of children
  • The wise son who brings joy to his father
  • The foolish son who constitutes sorrow to his mother.
God's plan for our children fits the first description. God did not design the home to produce foolish children. Children are to be a blessing and not a curse. They are designed to bring joy and satisfaction (Isaiah 8:18).
The enemy does not rest, does not play, does not give up, and does not sleep. He walks about like a roaring lion, he is looking for someone to devour and the hunting animals stalk and prey on the tenderest of the herd, on the one who walks alone, on the one who is wounded or sick. ¿Are you sleep spiritually speaking?
Big is the number of people who are losing the battle to raise their children. It is a desperate cry that I hear everywhere, mainly from single mothers. Expressions like: I don't know what to do with my son, my son doesn't obey, my daughter is lost, I need help, I need prayer, etc., are a daily occurrence even in the Christian congregation.
The home is the one that molds the children, if there is dysfunction in the home; the children will be dysfunctional and will live in frustration. For this reason the enemy works against marriages because he knows that it is the foundation that God has established for the family to be healthy and consequently society.
In our society marriage is under attack and consequently there is an epidemic of divorce, abandoned or unwanted children, absentee fathers and single mothers.
The family began with God's blessing. Genesis 1:28 says: And God blessed them. Praying for the family is the foundation that will keep the home together, as the phrase says: the family that prays together will stay together.
Praying for the family can be done in many ways: you can do it alone, with your spouse, with the members of your household, or with your friends or with your sisters and brothers from the church. This time of prayer will build a hedge of protection difficult to penetrate by the fiery darts of the evil one.

  • God makes the destitute to dwell in families; he brings out the captives to prosperity, but the rebellious dwell in a dry land (Psalm 68:6).
